Fall Planting and Vintage Seed Packs

It’s about that time again to start planning and planting the fall garden plot! The Farmer’s Almanac has amazing and helpful planting guides for how and when to plant some popular home-garden veggies. Beets, radishes, and snow peas are a few of my favorite cool weather veggies to grow because they’re quite forgiving for beginners. They make this pixel pusher feel a wee bit like I could have success at this agricultural stuff! ;o)

Anyhow, for fun, I’m making my own seed packets because many of my seeds come from friends and family or I have saved them from past crops, allowing 1-2 plants to seed. Here’s a freebie vintage style radish seed packet for you! Enjoy! 🙂

  1. Click on the image above to access the hi-res file.
  2. Print on paper stock of choice with these settings: 8.5×11, “landscape,” 100% scale, centered.
  3. Cut out packet.
  4. Neatly fold all the edges around the green part of the packet.
  5. Apply a thin layer of glue on the white trapezoid flaps and glue them to the opposite side of the back part of the packet.
  6. Write your radish variety and plant date on the flap.
